Where to Buy Keto Bread

The keto diet has taken the world by storm. And while this diet focuses on low-carb, that doesn’t mean you have to nix bread from your diet. With the invention of keto bread, you can still enjoy toast, sandwiches, and other favorite foods. But where can you buy this kind of bread?

Keto bread is readily available in stores across the globe. Many grocery stores carry it, but your best bet is big box stores like Walmart, Target, Costco, and Sam’s Club. If you can’t seem to find it in-store, you can also order it online.

Hi! I’m Michelle, a baker with over ten years of experience. While I am not personally following the keto diet, I have so many friends and loved ones that do. When they come over to visit, I make sure I have keto-friendly foods on hand, including bread.

Are you curious about keto but don’t want to give up bread? Don’t panic – just buy a keto bread loaf from one of the places below.

What is Keto Bread?

Before I let you in on where to find keto-friendly bread, I want to take a quick second to discuss what keto bread really is.

Well, keto bread is a very low-carb bread. It does not contain any of the carb-heavy ingredients found in traditional bread, such as wholewheat or wholegrain. These components are replaced with low-carb ingredients, like almond flour and eggs (every brand is different).

Although keto bread contains different elements, it still looks, feels, and tastes like real bread. That said, you can make all your favorite meals and snacks without the fear of chowing down on traditional bread riddled with carbohydrates.

Where to Buy Keto Bread – Three Options

Low-carb bread that functions and tastes like actual bread? Sign me up. But where?

If you’re itching to get your hands on this “magical” type of bread, you have three options: in-store, online, or at a local bakery. Let’s take a closer look.

1. In-Store

Many people are opting for keto diets, and consumers are listening. That said, it’s unsurprising that many keto bread-baking brands have popped up left and right. Some of these famous brands include SoLo, SOLA, ThinSlim, and Great Low Carb Bread Co.

The best part is that these bread types aren’t challenging to find. In fact, I can almost guarantee that if you traipsed into your local grocery store, you could find one (or more) keto loaves on the shelves.

But if you don’t want to go on a wild goose hunt, here are some of the stores that are definitely known to sell keto bread loaves:

  • Walmart
  • Target
  • Sam’s Club
  • Costco
  • ALDI
  • Whole Foods

2. Online

While I’m almost 100% sure you’ll be able to find keto bread loaves in person, if you simply can’t find it or aren’t in the mood to stroll off to the store, you can also purchase keto bread online. (The price is a little higher, but that’s the price of convenience – right?)

Of course, the best place to buy keto bread online is Amazon. Amazon has so many yummy keto loaves to try, including SOLA Sweet and Buttery, White Keto Bread, and Keto Food Bagels.

3. Local Bakery

Now, this option may be a hit or miss, so don’t quote me on this one.

I know for a fact that many of the local bakeries near me (in Southern California) have started baking keto loaves alongside other options like gluten-free and vegan. They know the immense popularity of keto and want to cash in – can’t blame ‘em.

But not all bakeries are zeroing in on the keto trend. So, I’d call the local bakery before walking in to check whether or not they bake keto loaves. If they do, I’d get there ASAP – there is nothing like a freshly baked loaf of keto bread from a bakery!

How Much is Keto Bread?

I’m sure you’re getting excited to go out and buy your first loaf of keto bread. Yet, before you leave your house, you should probably have some idea of how much you’re going to spend – especially if you plan to pay with cash.

So what does keto bread cost?

It depends on the loaf and the business. For example, ALDI has an iconic keto loaf priced at just $2.99. Yet, if you buy a loaf on Amazon, you might be paying over $10.

Typically, a loaf of keto bread costs around $5 to $10, though, so plan accordingly.
